Outstanding content and a straightforward interface make Seterra an oddly compelling geography-quiz program. You can test your knowledge of world cities, capital cities, countries, geographical features, and flags. Most quiz types are broken out by region, such as Australia and Northern Africa. The game gives you a number of chances to guess, color-coding the correct answer by how many times you picked wrong. After three wrong guesses, the correct answer lights up green; when you click it, it turns red. This creates an easy visual representation of which areas you need to study more. The high-score tables provide a subtle but effective spur to learn. We had only two small quibbles: we would have liked a desktop icon option, and sometimes the place names overlap and obscure nearby location dots. Anyone interested in learning more about our world, especially students, can get sucked into Seterra's spell.

Fun & simple way to learn states and capital cities. . Score based. Beat the clock

I prefer ver 3 which fits better into 17 inch screen with XP. Limited cities
Summary
good for basic geography and fun as well .You gain points for correct answers and can beat the clock. Pitched at school kids but a good refresher tool for adults.

Works great, students learn. Free.
Cons
High Scores table on a network share has been somewhat troublesome, sometimes the kids want to get a 3 second score on an easy map instead of working hard and learning.

I love this program. I've only been using it for two days. I can now identify every country in Europe, South America and most in Africa (haven't done Western Africa yet)

I love it! My geography knowledge is more than just embarrassing. I really like this program and it is indeed fun as well as educational. I think it is great for anyone from around age 7 or so and up :)

This a simple program with no frills. You can repeat your answers several times before they give it to you. It scores your results and lets you play against it to improve your score.

I really like this program. It is great for home schooled children. I am an older adult and I just like it to test my knowledge and learn more about the world and where everything is. To me it is like a game.
