Publisher's description of Second Copy 7.0.0.160
From Centered Systems:Second Copy automatically copies files and folders from one location to another on the local drives, across the network, or to removable drives such as USB, CD-RW/DVD, or on network storage devices. It works in the background. Simply tell Second Copy which files to copy, where and when to copy them, and forget about it. Its easy-to-use setup wizard helps to define "profiles" that describe the source and the destination location, and the frequency at which to copy the files. It monitors the source files and automatically copies the new or changed files to the destination. It can compress and encrypt the files using the built-in compression utility. Automatic scheduling includes specific days of the week, hours of the day, or any desired time intervals. New features include 256-bit AES encryption, FTP support, e-mail notification, and support to run as a service, PKZip compatible compression, two-way file synchronization, and the ability to archive up to 25 old versions of files.
Version 7.0.0.160 added ShowPreview option to main screen pop-up menu, fixed SetFocus problem on Browse button in Profile Wizard, and changed profile Wizard and Options to accommodate large fonts.

Version: Second Copy 7.0.0.160
"Finally, a backup utility that copies files!"
Pros: There are so many backup tools out there (including the built-in Windows Backup Utility) which can only backup your files to an unwieldy monolithic archive. Second Copy synchronizes your active and backup filesystem exactly, so you have a full, exact copy! The interface is also clean, simple and powerful.
Cons: A few really minor issues: wildcards didn't behave exactly as i expected (although they are usable) and the Activity Log can take a rather long time to open.

Version: Second Copy 7.0.0.160
"Excellent product. Second Copy + Acronis TrueImage = Worry free backups"
Pros: Stable and functional. For complete images however, use Acronis TrueImage.
Cons: Nothing really.

"when it is running, I cannot run other applications"
Pros: I think the concept behind this application is a good one. I like all the features given.
Cons: When its running (on XP) it locks the PC up - and many times I've had to hit the power button just to get back control.

Version: Second Copy 7.0.0.160
Pros: I have used this software now through three major revisions. The first version was great and the next two were better. I use this to backup my business records on a daily basis and have found it easy to use and reliable.
I backup to an alternate hard drive, a networked computer and a flash drive that leaves the office each night. Second copy does this all with great ease and I am confident of the moves.
I have had the occasion to contact customer support - my error not the software - and found the support fast, accurate and friendly, not to mention done at no charge as a courtesy. This software is a steal at twice the price. Download it and give it a try!

Cons: Doesn't make coffee. Other than that... None.
