"Make your own rules"

Don't like Firefox's close button on each tab? Miss the multiple rows of tabs when they exceed the width of your screen? This kick-butt Firefox extension makes tabbed browsing even better than it already is. Tab Mix Plus can change those settings and almost everything else associated with tabs. Use your scroll wheel to browse tabs, or control tab switching via mouse gestures. You can specify where Web pages will open--in the background or the foreground, in a new tab or the current one--based on how they were created: by clicking a link, typing an address, or using the search bar.

You can duplicate a tab, protect it from closing, or merge tabs from several windows. We also like the option that prevents those annoying blank tabs when you download files. Another useful feature is a session manager that restores tabs that were open the last time the browser shut down. We'd like to see an option to view tabs as thumbnails, but nevertheless there's something here for every Firefox user--don't browse without it.

"So glad it's back"

Pros: The editor's review says it all. It's probably the single most useful extension I've come across in all the time I've been using Firefox.

Cons: The only issue would be the amount of time it's taken to become compatible with Firefox 3. I've never had a problem of any description with it.

Summary: I'm so happy to have it back. Single most useful function for me is the Open link in foreground tab addition to the context menu.

"Good that it is back"

Pros: Glad its back, was a great feature in fox2.

Cons: nothing really

Summary: fox 3 lacking this was part of the reason fox3 is one of my backup browsers, not enough to bring it back as my main though, but a great addition to fox3.

"It's Back!"

Pros: Allows you to manipulate tabs in just about every conceivable way.

Cons: There aren't any now that it works with Firefox 3.

Summary: Click on Tab Mix Plus options and set it up to open and close tabs exactly where and how you want. Everything and more is covered. Outstanding!

"Amazing, glad to see it again."

Pros: I've been using it for ages, it's become the first add-on I download. It's one of those things that should be built right into Firefox. I can't live with any other browser now simply due to the absence of Tab Mix Plus features.

Cons: Nothing at all.
