Piano FX Studio is an advanced piano chords and music keyboard synthesizer for the PC. You can play live piano music using your PC keyboard or mouse without the requirement of a conventional piano. The player piano music interface and piano keys have been designed to exactly resemble a fully featured professional keyboard synthesizer. It produces a ultra-high quality midi sound output with 127 realistic musical and percussion instruments, piano chords, four-note polyphonic sounds, a 10-drum synthesizer machine, multiple sample melodies, and has a recording option to save your musical compositions in WAV file format. Version 4 includes unspecified updates.

Though not appropriate for professional music production, Piano FX Studio is adequate as a sketchpad for jotting down basic ideas. Upon launch, you'll see a well-designed and attractive interface, with controls at the top and a five-octave keyboard at the bottom. The piano can be played by either the keyboard or the mouse, but as you might expect, both methods will take a lot of practice. Piano FX Studio offers nearly 100 sounds, including synths, horns, guitars, and various effects. You will find an extremely basic drum machine, but it's only appropriate for very simple beats. The app lets you shift octaves and pitch, and includes a library of 20 preset patches. However, if you're looking to learn piano or musical theory, look elsewhere, as this app has no teaching tools to speak of. Folks who casually tinker with making music will find this app more appealing than serious musicians.
