- "Easiest photo-sharing"
It ain't for the Flickr crowd, but if you've got full-resolution photos and videos you like to share with the same set of people, Memeo's Share app could be your solution. Driven by a user-friendly set-up wizard, Memeo Share lets you sync files from a designated folder on your computer to the computer of one or more contacts. File-sharing becomes a breeze, especially for transferring multiple large files and for sharing with technical novices whose nerves frazzle at the thought of uploading.
Memeo Share also has social networks in mind, auto-posting photos to Facebook and videos to YouTube if that's your desire, and pulling in existing Web mail contacts.

"Memeo Share finally solves the most COMMON problem with photo and video sharing!"
Pros: I'm not sure why it took this long...but I'm just thrilled someone finally did! I - like many of my friends and family - LOVE digital photography (it's all about the kids, no?)!
The past few years, a number of us made the transition from nice point-n-shoots to digital SLRs. BUT what's the point, if e-mailing or distributing these files are a pain in the you know what! So what ends up happening is that all these brilliant-looking (my opinion ;-) 10 megapixel photos just sit on my PC, get old, and in essence get wasted because by the time I get around to burning them on DVD-Rs or sitting around all night as they upload to Flickr...they're already vacation photos from the PREVIOUS summer!
Regarding Flickr...I don't completely agree with the CNET editor. I don't think it's either/or for the diehard Flickr crowd. I've been a Pro Flickr customer for years and I love them...but they're great for casual sharing (online only, screen-res) and finding photos from other pro or semi-pro photographers. BUT everyone has experienced tons of frustration with the latest Flickr Uploader!!! I literally have NOT been able to upload a complete set of high-res photos and videos...EVER (I've been using v. 3.1). C'mon Yahoo!...don't stop improving Flickr! I've been using both Flickr and Memeo Share (since Beta) and I love the combo. Flickr for random stuff, casual stuff...and Memeo Share for sharing my really cool photos with many of my closest friends, family, and co-workers! Who knows...if Memeo does some more of the social media stuff, I may not renew my Flickr account the next time! ;-)
My Top 3 Likes:
1. The photos and videos go DIRECTLY to my sharing group's PCs! Yes, you heard me...like e-mail that just shows up...all of suddenly my mom and dad was getting high-res photos of their grandkids...all behind the scenes! They LOVE it (I don't have to talk them through the phone on how to login into their Kodak Gallery ;-)!
2. It's fast and reliable. The software just works...I uploaded about 212 MBs of photos the other day and EVERY file uploaded perfectly and on the 1st try (sorry Flickr...your Uploader sucks).
3. Simplicity of automatic receiving. I actually setup an aunt that lives halfway across the country and now I'm seeing pics of my cousins on a regular basis. It's just easy and I think that's what makes my aunt use it.
Cons: I'm getting nit-picky here...but there are things I'd like to see Memeo improve on:
My Top 3 Dislikes:
1. I wish Memeo Share can automatically download pics from my camera to my Sharing Circles. I know, it's an extra step, but I'm lazy ;-). Maybe they can work with the camera guys and figure this out.
2. I'd really like to use my e-mail address as my username, but they don't allow for that.
3. I've setup so many Sharing Circles on my Memeo Share, that it's getting cluttered. Maybe if the Sharing Circles didn't look so big on the program.

Pros: i cant believe i don't have to wait for photo or video uploads. i sent a bunch of pictures to my parents and they got original quality files right on their computer. very cooooool. super easy. thx.

Pros: I recently bought my first camcorder and am very new to using software like this. I've tried several other products but this one fully filled my expectations. Easy to use and great options. HAPPY!

"Deceptively simple. No website hassles!"
Pros: I have just been testing this software out, but so far it is really great. I am doing a lot of stuff with the kids over summer and I'm always taking pictures. My husband works long hours and misses out. Now I can update his work screensaver without him having to do anything!
Cons: It would be nice if I could send photos from my phone somehow. I don't always have my camera but it is more of a pain to hook my phone up to my computer.
