Set in the aftermath of a world-wide nuclear war, Fallout will challenge you to survive in an unknown and dangerous world. You will take the role of a Vault dweller, a person who has grown up in a secluded, underground survival vault. Circumstances arise that force you to go Outside--to a strange world 80 years after the end of our modern civilization. It's a world of mutants, radiation, gangs, and violence. Your immediate task is to find a replacement for the broken water purification controller chip. Without that chip, your fellow Vault dwellers are doomed to dehydrate, or to be forced to leave the safety of the Vault for the Outside.

"Doesn't work"

Pros: None..Doesnt install keep getting the message about "Priveleged error". It made me sit in a black screen for 5 min before I manually had to look on my desktop to see the error. Very horrible

"This is definitely one of the top 5 best RPGs ever made."

Pros: Open ended gameplay, interesting & deep character development system. Strong atmosphere. Excellent combat system.

Cons: No multiplayer. The game is also pretty old so the graphics are a bit dated, though it holds up better than most games would.

***THE DEMO DOES WORK IN WINDOWS XP!!!***

However you must run it in compatibility mode. To do this, right-click on the file FALLDEMO.EXE and then choose the compatibility tab. Check the box to run the program in compatibility mode for Windows 95, then click OK.

BTW, in my opinion, this is one of the best games ever made. Highly recommended RPG!

"Just the best"

Summary: Baldurs Gate? NeverWinter Nights?
Knights of the Old Replublic?
Forget them. Fallout (I and II)
still are the best, original, smart and funny tales.

Summary: Fallout is by far the coolest and best futuristic RPG ever made (in my opinion) and has excellent graphics, sound, and gameplay.

"Doesn't Work"

Summary: I have a brand new pc, and everytime i try to start the game up my screen freezes and it tells me privelege instruction error in some address or something like that. Nebody know what to do?
