Publisher's description of Roland SC-8820 USB Driver (2000/XP)
From Roland:The driver offers multiclient support - as many as four applications can simultaneously use each MIDI OUT/MIDI IN port. The MIDI connectors of the SC-8820 can be used as ports independently from the sound generator. In addition to the 32 parts of the SC-8820 itself, the SC-8820's MIDI OUT connector and MIDI IN connector can be used as independent ports.
