Roger Wilco is a small, standalone application that allows you and your friends to talk to each other while playing multiplayer games online. Command your team of mechs, or taunt your enemies as you hunt them down. Warn other players of potential hazards or trick them into a dragon's lair. The program works with most existing games, such as Half-Life, Quake III, Diablo II, Tribes 2, Unreal Tournament, StarCraft, and just about any other online multiplayer game. In addition to games, Roger Wilco will work with ICQ so you can chat verbally with your nongaming friends. You talk to the other players by either pressing a single key or by setting up Roger Wilco to be voice-activated. You don't need a second sound card, just one capable of full-duplex audio, and a microphone.

Cons: spyware- just like anything else with "Game Spy" on it. And Game Spy's spyware program is usually a tough one to remove too.

"Great tool for gaming with friends"
Pros: Its free.
It really helps in online games to coordinate gameplay with friends.
Usage of the program alongside games couldn't be any easier with the help of a master control key.
Cons: Requires joining into a public room in the room browser. Most rooms are public and therefore anyone can join and listen in on your conversations. Make sure to join the right rooms...or private ones...or make your own.

Summary: Teamspeak is a much better solution. I've been using RW myself in the past. It was good while we had slow internet but today in the world of broadband it's totally outdated with its downright horrible sound quality.
