Publisher's description of RiffWorks T4
RiffWorks T4 is a guitar recording and online collaboration software. Record ideas at the moment of inspiration, create complete songs with drums and effects, collaborate online with musicians around the world for free, and cast tunes to RiffWorld.com. A free level of online collaboration is included with RiffWorks T4, which allows up to four musicians to collaborate on a song and chat simultaneously. RiffWorks loop-based recording workflow allows collaboration without latency or distance issues. As a track is recorded, it streams to other players and is perfectly in sync. Contributions are saved on RiffWorld.com and can be opened later in RiffWorks to continue recording.
Mac and PC musicians worldwide are creating songs together online no matter how far apart they live.Includes 7 effects, InstantDrummer, song posting, online collaboration, AmpliTube 2 Duo LE and Studio Devil BVC amp plug-ins. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.

"RiffWorks will change your view of digital music recording software."
Pros: Having been an avid user of RiffWorks for over three years now I can definitely say it is the best program I have ever used for easily creating new songs or ideas that I would have forgotten. It's user friendly interface that resembles a virtual "rack" of equipment making it both fun and intuitive.
That is just the tip of the iceberg though. once you get a hang of laying down instant drum tracks and backing guitar and bass parts, you will find yourself soloing into the wee hours of the morning. it is Guitar Hero (tm) for the real guitar player.
You don't even have to play guitar to have fun with the program. You can run a ton of free VST plug-in programs inside of RiffWorks that will allow you to create an endless assortment of sounds and beats.
My personal favorite feature of RiffWorks is the built in RiffLink option. It allows you to go online and jam with other musicians in near real time. Just do yourself a favor and download the T4 Demo, test it out, and write your own review. You wonâ??t be sorry. P.S. No I do not work for Sonoma WireWorks...I just am a RiffLink Junkie.

"Excellent. Just the best product for recoring guitar."
Pros: Everything. I've been using the Standard version for about a year now, but the free T4 version is an awesome introduction to the product. It has revolutionised by songwriting and guitar playing experience. Not only can you easily construct song, ideas, or simple motifs with this product, but the ability to collaborate in real time online with other musicians all over the world is simply mind-blowing. The program also uses an incredibly real sounding instant drummers facility, and you can purchase different sets from the online store. Also, the instant drummers don't keep playing while you are attempting to tune up and don't drink all your beer; how cool is that? You can save songs in mp3 and ogg formats and post them to the Riffworld website and the forums have a real sense of community and Sonoma support is fast and friendly. Given that T4 is free, what's not to like but I suspect anyone that tries this software will quickly upgrade to the Standard version.
Cons: VST's are only available on the input side, but I'm sure the people at Sonoma are already working on that. Other than that there is nothing to dislike about this program
