From Boilsoft: Resource Hunter is an explorer for Windows executable files. You can use Resource Hunter to scan the directories and drives on your computer and extract all bitmaps, icons, cursors, JPEG, GIF, and PNG images, sound files, video clips, and animations in any directory. Then you can save them as regular image/media files. It features integration into the Windows shell, and you can copy images of icons displayed in Windows Explorer or on the desktop. It has quick access to the DOS prompt in the requested folder. Version 1.32 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

This handy software easily finds media files buried in Windows executables, but this demo blocks all copy and save functions. Resource Hunter sports a simple point-and-click Windows Explorer-style interface. Click an executable file to immediately display any images, animations, cursors, or icons present in the file. You can save media to the Clipboard or as a binary file, but this function is disabled for unregistered users. Advanced users will appreciate the file header, data directories, section headers, and import/export tables Resource Hunter displays for each executable. Programmers will find Resource Hunter's binary viewer useful for quick hex display of buried media. The program's search for media function is fast and looks similar to Windows Search. The program is an easy-to-use tool for all users, but many functions require advanced programming knowledge to comprehend.
