Version: GoodSync 7.2.9
"Like the remote access functions"
Pros: I like the ability of GoodSync to sync with FTP sites and SSH FTP sites, as if they were local.
Cons: nothing in particular

Version: GoodSync 7.2.9
Pros: I "tried" to use briefcase to keep my office laptops synced up with our server. What a joke. I think I goodsync now once or twice a day because, when we're in the office, I often forget where I stored the latest file - laptop or server. When I head out on the road, I sync up and absolutely KNOW I have all my files with me.
What Briefcase did was regularly decide to just erase a bunch of files because "it" figured that I had deleted on one side, so why not the other? Going through file by file to change the setting from delete to keep could take 20 minutes. All in all, I am so grateful and really HAD to write and let you know.

Version: GoodSync 7.2.9
Pros: The reliable backing up anything I want, and particularly the removal of deleted files.
Cons: There is nothing I don't like, however I would like the option to select certain folders not to delete on the recipient hard-drive.

"It works but the interface is a bit confusing"
Pros: It sits in the background and doesn't bother you. It really does synch and Backup/Restore. The settings and getting it to do what you think it ought rather than what it thinks it ought can be overcome.
Cons: It is not intuitive or even easy to set up. Don't think I'm carrying this criticism too far. Once you get the hang of it it does what it promises. However, intuitive is king in apps.
Summary: There are apparently five new synch and backup programs appearing each week. Soon enough one of them is goping to get the interface just right and there will be a great rush to adopt it. Right now good synch seems to be about as good as any other ... read more >>
