Though this program is a great tool for beginners looking to master the Arabic alphabet, the trial version only offers three lessons. ReadWrite Arabic is well-designed, with a clear interface and thoughtful navigation. A main page includes buttons for additional instructions, which explain the structure of the lessons, and volume options. The combination of visual characters and audio files helps you learn both pronunciation and penmanship. You can listen as a voice pronounces a character, record your own speaking of the same character to compare, or practice writing the character you hear. Arabic script has many variations, and the program diligently and accurately walks you through the various forms of each letter. Though you can use a mouse to practice writing characters, during testing we found a pen tablet to be a better tool. Overall, this is a good primer for beginner students wishing to learn Arabic script.

"Exactly what is missing from every other tool out there!"

Pros: Wow, this product explains every nuance of arabic writing in step by step fashion, lets you practice each step, pronounces everything for you, and really, I couldn't ask for anything else! It is PERFECT! One of the reviewers said it wouldn't run on his computer, but it runs perfectly on mine, so maybe that guy should try again.

Cons: There's nothing I don't like about this. Except maybe that you have to buy it after the third lesson, but this is one product that is actually worth paying for anyway!
