ReGet Pro is a lightweight but fully functional download manager for everyday download needs. It is designed for average downloaders who need a small, fast and user-friendly downloading tool with a bunch of essential settings. It has a very small size and is easy to configure. ReGet Pro dramatically accelerates your downloads (up to 3-5 times) by splitting files into sections and downloading these sections simultaneously. If your download gets interrupted, ReGet Pro can automatically reconnect to the Internet and proceed downloading from where it left off. ReGet Pro seamlessly integrates with all popular browsers including Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, MSN Explorer, Opera, and Mozilla. ReGet Pro supports file download (retrieval) from both file transfer (FTP) and Web (HTTP) servers.

ReGet Pro can detect browser activity and automatically lower its traffic usage if the browser transfers data, giving you the ability to browse the Internet without interrupting your downloads. ReGet Pro has built-in dial-up integration. You don't have to run a lot of programs to download just one file. ReGet Pro can dial into your ISP, download files, and then hang up when the download is finished.

Version 3.4 includes stream protocols (MMS, RTSP) support, FTP compression (MODE Z) support, and downloading of huge files (over 2Gb) support.

Suffering from sluggish downloads? ReGet Pro speeds up downloads two to five times and has a wealth of features and settings that fully justify its "professional" moniker. It has an unusually well-designed interface for a download manager--all the panes, buttons, colors, and even sounds are fully configurable. Browser integration lets you add downloads by simply clicking a link. The program offers all the standard features, such as dial-up tools, FTP support, and the ability to resume interrupted downloads. However, the publisher has reserved the scheduling tool for the Deluxe version. Macros help autogenerate folder names depending on the date, file extension, and more. Both effective and well-priced, ReGet Pro is a superb download tool for the average Web surfer.

  ">>> Good but not Great <<<"

  Pros: Best things about this program is

  1. Low price ($9.95)

  2. Free life-time upgrades

  ----- With a wee bite of work this could be as great as some other Download Managers , but it cost less to buy -----

  Cons: Good Program but needs more work done to it to make it as great as the other Download Managers.
