Microsoft Reader is designed to make your onscreen reading experience as close as possible to reading a printed book. In addition, it adds active reading capabilities, instant access to content, and a personal library. Features include high-resolution ClearType and an add-on dictionary, as well as the ability to bookmark, highlight, annotate, make notes and drawings, and much more. Version 2.1.1 includes a security update that closes known gaps in the Microsoft Reader security architecture.

Note: If you already have Microsoft Reader installed, it is recommended that you choose the Microsoft Reader Update installation option. If you choose to download the full installation, uninstall Microsoft Reader through the Add/Remove Programs control panel before you run the installation utility.

"Great"

Pros: I like it one of Microsofts better products. It doesn't take forever to load like some other programs do.

Cons: If any it is a little challenging to find free books for it, but I manage.

"Nothing great."

Pros: Can be uninstalled. It's not Rudenko's uber-crap book reader. It did what i needed it to do.

Cons: Can't print. Asked for activation (what?). Ugly interface (but not as ugly as Rudenko's).

"This product sucks!"

Pros: Very little good I can think to say about this.

Cons: You can't load any ebooks except what you buy from their site. You have to register with them to do this. I found the whole interface to be contrived and it lacked a pleasing look for reading long books for hours on end. I highly recomend you don't download this and download "Rudenko's Book Reader" It has everything this lacks.
