Publisher's description of Project Magellan

From Plaidworld Software:

On the 1,000th anniversary of ancient explorer Ferdinand Magellan's trip around the world, the United Earth government commissions an armada of spaceships to explore the universe. Shortly after getting under way, the mission is attacked by a mysterious alien battlecraft. In response, two assault fighters are launched to engage the enemy, who attempts to escape through a wormhole. The two fighters who pursued the alien craft find themselves trapped in another dimension, faced with a continuous onslaught of alien craft.

You play the game from a side-view perspective, using a variety of weapons to attack the aliens. The demo lets you play the first two levels.
