PrintConductor program prints any number of documents in batch mode. It lets you print large numbers of files, including Adobe PDF, Microsoft Word DOC, Microsoft Excel XLS, Autodesk AutoCAD DWG, Microsoft PowerPoint PPT. Simply specify the files, adjust your printer and press the Run button. Do you need to convert lots of documents to PDF, TIFF or JPEG. PrintConductor can print on virtual printers to convert documents into graphics files.

Version: PrintConductor 1.3

"Not as advertized"

Cons: The program has been advertized through many versions to handle DWG (AutoCAD) and VSD (Visio) files. I downloaded the latest version (V1.4) directly from the publisher's web site when the version on CNET did not work for these. Even that version did not recognize or handle these file extensions, which was the sole reason for me to download the program. Other reviewers seem to be happy with the program for the file types that it works for. It isn't clear why the publisher has continued to maintain a misleading description.

"Does not convert file types to pdf"

Pros: None for me atleast

Cons: I was looking for a free pdf writer that can convert images/word docs to pdf. This software has no such feature. I did not try the printing stuff as the software that came with my printer is good enough

"Just what the doctor ordered"

Pros: Wonderful program! I had 750+ files of multiple extensions that I had to convert to PDF. This saved me massive amounts of time for the amount of Simple and straightforward - just what it needed to be for something that should already be a part of Acrobat.

Thanks for not being a money grubbing tool and trying to leach some profit out of something like this. Others should take heart. Free software will probably benefit you more, spreading faster and maybe helping score a position at Adobe...

Cons: I couldn't grab .jpg or .tif files and have these printed by the Adobe Printer. Fortunately I only had a few, but that should be easy to add to expand the flexibility.

Also, received popups from the Adobe Printer stating "Excel recalculates formulas on opening. Should it save another copy before converting Y/N?" Perhaps adding a default checkbox to suppress these.

"Absolutely a Great Time Saver!!!"

Pros: It is great free product which is so simple to use. I have printed 30+ pdfs with one simple click - unbelievable!!!

Cons: Nothing I can think of...
