Pop-Up Stopper Professional blocks all pop-up windows and cleans tracking files in various browsers on Internet connections. Pop-Up Stopper Professional blocks or closes pop-up and pop-under ads in all browsers, including AOL, MSN, Netscape, Internet Explorer, SBCYahoo, WMConnect, and Opera. Pop-Up Stopper Professional can optionally download free updates, and clean and manage cookies in browsers, from one utility. It can remove browser history and cache and even clean index.dat files, even for separate users and logins. Panicware's technology allows users to permit pop-up windows from specific Web sites, and preserve bandwidth by blocking pop-up windows before they load. Version 1.80.1 provides full support for the FireFox browser, including file cleaning, pop-up ad blocking, cookie management, and history cleaning.

There may be nothing more frustrating than battling pesky online pop-up windows. While this program performs well, to really control creative pop-ups, you'll need a far more refined tool. Pop-up Stopper Professional does work with a large majority of browsers currently on the market (including, most recently, Mozilla Firefox.) During testing, the program was able to block most pop-up windows, but missed items such as "fly-in" advertisement windows and other more unusual pop-up windows. To allow pop-ups, you simply add a Web link to an allowed list. Yet at times the program was too robust, blocking even the sites we had given previous permission to allow pop-ups. A convenient workaround includes the option to give immediate permission to sites by holding down the Ctrl or Shift keys. Overall, we would have liked to see a bit more flexibility and reliability with this pop-up stopper.

  "Unlike others, i didn't like it's performance"

  Pros: I'll give it credit for blocking most pop-up blockers, but...

  Cons: it blocked too many. It blocked the pop-ups known as "good pop-ups". In other words the ones that supply you with information on what you clicked.

  It also did not block the some of the common techniues used for pop-ups and didn't hardly block any of the uncommon pop-ups.

  Not a good pop-up blocker, it blocks what you want and doesn't block what you don't want.

  "useful tool to corrupt your operating system"

  Cons: it sucks. after i restarted windows. i received this error message: Error loading Explorer.exe

  You must reinstall Windows.

  no good for use

  "I like, one blocker and cleaner, I like it!"

  Pros: There support team is Fantastic. I am a big fan now.

  Easy to set up and doesn't strip web images.

  Best part is many optional settings for sounds and fun alerts. ;>> Try it, bill.

  Cons: The updates didn't connect at first, but they helped me allow the firewell setting.
