Publisher's description of PhotoPhilia
From Pholix Software:PhotoPhilia generates thumbnails of various sizes and appearances and makes it easy to navigate your files using Favorites and bookmarks. Organize your images into albums and describe images using comments, keywords, and categories. The Album Manager controls all your albums. Search your images by filename, date, size, keyword, category, comment, EXIF field, and the Looks Like criteria. The Batch Process tool allows you to build your own scenarios of image processing. Scenarios consist of image-editing functions, file operations, and other functions. HTML Generator generates HTML pages from your image collections and can produce HTML slide shows with more than 20 transition effects and background music. PhotoPhilia supports JPEG, TIFF, EXIF, FPX, PCD, TGA, AWD, FAX, WinFax, PCX, DCX, PNG, RAS, PSD, WPG, PIC, WMF, GIF, MAC, and other popular image formats, as well as EXIF fields and AVI and MPEG movies.

4.0 stars
This photo organizer offers minimal organization features as well as image-editing features not usually found in organizers. You can organize photos into a slide show, add various effects, create photo albums from a specified folder, and generate HTML collections of images for Web posting. PhotoPhilia handles an unusually large set of image formats, including JPEG, BMP, TIFF, and ICO (Windows icon files). Image-editing tools let you not only perform standard tasks such as red-eye removal, but also apply a large number of filter effects, including embossing and blurring.
Though the program runs smoothly, it cannot find images automatically as other programs in its category do. Also, the organization of photos lacks power. For instance, you cannot sort images by keyword or size, and you can only organize them by making an album or a slide show. Finally, the program's work space takes up too much space that could be used for image viewing, which contributes to its clunky look. PhotoPhilia's minimal image-sorting capabilities keep it from being a top-notch photo organizer, but its albums and slide shows work well, as do the editing features.

Version: PhotoPhilia 1.9
Summary: there are plenty of photo organizers that can do albums and slideshows, but this is the only program i found that is able to display multiple images on screen, each in its own window. very good for quickly comparing images.
