From Jacek Pazera: Pazera Free 3GP to AVI Converter is the freeware application which converts mobile phone video files (3GP and 3G2) into AVI or MPG (MPEG-1, MPEG-2). 3GP and 3G2 files are commonly used in the modern mobile phones, but they are not supported by Windows Media Player and other popular media players. To display 3GP/3G2 video you need to convert that file into more reliable format, such as AVI or MPG.

  Pazera Free 3GP to AVI Converter

  So far the only free one that actually works and works well

  Pros: It can convert the file into many others and seemed to work very well converting the entire file

  Cons: Codecs seem to go wrong when converting into certain file types

  my .3gp file codec was unsupported?

  Pros: I liked the interface, the smallness of the program, the fact that it didn't need to be installed to run it, plus the option choices available when converting a file looked very comprehensive and pretty dang cool all around. I had such high hopes for this program! but alas, it totally let me down....

  Cons: I got this specifically to convert .3gp files to .avi, just like the name says, but when I tried to do that very thing, I got an error message saying that the file I was trying to convert was using an unsupported codec. Who knew? I have a Centrio Palm Trio - nothing that unusual. And I didn't have a choice of which codec to use with it, anyway. So I went to the developer's website for help and there was none - no customer support, no FAQs, no option to download additional codecs (at least that I could find), nothing informative at all. Bummer! It has potential, if it would just WORK....

  unsupported codec

  Cons: didn't work. says unsupported codec. if you go to their home page you'll find everyone complaining about similar problems.
