All versions of MS Office are supported including the most recent Office 2003. The Kit can recover passwords for opening, writing reservations, workbooks and worksheets, templates and documents, Personal Folders files, form designs, databases, and for accessing user accounts.

Recover lost passwords from more than thirty applications and programs, but you may get lost in all the choices and frustrated by the output in this trial version. Passware Password Recovery Kit contains 34 keys, including those for the Microsoft Office and Lotus suites, ZIP-compatible software and backup files, and you'll need to choose a key to get started. The interface, while utilitarian, is easy to understand and use. For example, a simple click in the Internet Explorer Key will quickly deliver a list of your Web-site passwords. Unfortunately, the demo only shows the first letter or two of the password. One of the more interesting options is the Asterisk Key, which shows passwords hidden under asterisks on dialog boxes and Web pages. Although the manufacturer recommends visiting its site for an updated version, it's not warranted unless you are weighing whether to spend $335 for the full version. Users preferring a program-specific approach to password recovery will find this kit more than sufficient.
