It has been nearly 15 years since the war between the Orcs and Humans ended. An uneasy peace settled over the land while, for years, the drums of war were silent. Yet the kingdoms of men grew complacent in their victory--and slowly, the defeated orcish clans regrouped under the banner of a new visionary leader.

Now a darker shadow has fallen over the world, threatening to extinguish all life, all hope. The drums of war play upon the winds once again, rising urgently towards the inevitable hour when the skies will rain fire and the world will tremble before the coming of the Burning Legion. "Perfect RTS with friendly multiplayer"

We have a hard time thinking of anything negative to say about Warcraft III, a landmark in the real-time-strategy genre. As in most such games, your primary tasks are to build up your base, harvest resources, train units, and attack the enemy. You can now play for four races instead of two, each with characteristic strengths. In addition to traditional units, you can buy heroes, who gain experience for battling foes and level up to gain spells. A paladin hero, for instance, can heal human units and even resurrect them at higher levels. The single-player mode offers an engaging series of quests that will delight RPG fans. The detailed unit models, the colorful terrain, and the gorgeous special effects are all top-notch. We love the exceptionally user-friendly multiplayer mode, too. The demo offers three single-player missions and one multiplayer map. Even at 98MB, it's a must-download for any fantasy or RTS buff.

"GREATEST GAME ANYONE CAN DOWNLOAD"

Pros: It is THE greatest demo I downloaded since Diablo 2 demo. Anyone who finds a better demo pls tell me.

Cons: Only 5 parts. Wish it had more....

Pros: i have the full version of this, and both are amazing. If you dont havethe demo, download this and if you do, buy the full version. Warcraft III ownes over age of empires.

Pros: Nothing wrong with this game, everything is great. Graphics and worth download it, if you want to try it first. Better buy the game if you like it.

"Worth the download"

Pros: The demo is pretty long. It contains one prologue campaign with various sub-campaigns. I found the gameplay very engaging.

Cons: The graphics aren't exactly earth shattering. Polygons are very evident on the characters. Considering that this isn't a cheap game to buy I'd prefer to spend my money on games with superior graphics like Codename Panzers or AOE III.

The basic concept of the game is resource gathering and combat with a few quests thrown in for good measure. Haven't we already visited that concept in like...let me think....about every single RTS game before?? The point is I don't really see anything refreshing here. It seems like a rehash of AOM with more colorful characters. (Warcraft gaming community members please don't kill me).
