Excellent free alternative Paint application

Pros: I find this program has a lot of user friendly features that allow you to crop add some effects save in most file formats with very little is any lot of image detail it's compression abilities make this program idea for retouching images for email and web pages
Cons: it gif file ability requires work along with it's overlay ( layering ) processes.

A little to complicated for me, find Picasso about my speed
Pros: Does a couple of things that lesser programs have trouble with, such as recognising some formats others don't and also much more detailed controls. It is much more like fairly expensive software in many ways.
Cons: For a some time user it is to complicated to use, but no where as bad as the Gimp.
