Each working program has its priority. Windows kernel priority is highest, other programs work with normal priority. We may increase any program's priority not loading processor. When you change window, PC Accelerate automatically increase foreground window priority (programs shortcut you see in system tray). Except this if free PC memory will decrease (after unloading a program from memory can remain already not working libraries), PC Accelerate preventive will unload them from memory in that moment, when you work more intensive and will support the free-memory volume on constant average level. Beginning version 2.0 software include new useful features that fix registry errors and clean your system. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.

This is yet another app that promises to improve system performance but fails to accomplish much. PC Accelerate's cute but uninformative interface is more form than function. Novice users shouldn't look for help, as this app uses more space to advertise other apps than to explain its operation.

PC Accelerate's two functions attempt to increase free memory or change program priority. Neither function is explained by the publisher, but the memory tool appears to offload processes to recapture memory. Testers reported memory increases were minor and usually short-lived. The priority manager simply lists the priority for each running process. It takes a pair of clicks to change a program's priority. Oddly, you can't select a process and change its priority directly to High, Normal, or Low. The only option is to raise or lower a priority by a single step. The app also allows only High or Normal settings. Another option unloads the app from memory.

A pair of additional functions to fix Windows Registry problems and clean the system feel tacked onto this app. These are available only from a tool tray icon pop-up menu. Both are much more basic than similar standalone apps. While PC Accelerate feels novice friendly, the functions are best operated by experienced users. The problem is that more experienced users will want more functionality than this freeware app offers.
