OptiPerl is a fully integrated visual environment (IDE) and editor for creating, testing, debugging and running perl scripts and web pages offline in Windows. Features include: Internal server and web browser for previewing, feature packed editor with syntax highlighting, local and remote debugging, context sensitive help, code librarian and templates, regular expression tester and explainer, plug-in extensions, project support, pod viewer, query editor and alot more. Optiperl has all the tools needed to program, debug and test standalone or CGI perl scripts, and can make development more productive and fun.

Version 5.4 improves Windows Vista support.

  Pros: This thing is awsome! it is feature rich yet fairly easy to use. it comes with some very good sample scripts and the help files are actually helpful! i plan to purchase the full version, this thing is GREAT!

  Cons: i have been using this for a week now and have not discovered any negatives.
