Version: Open Contacts 5.3.1.605
"downloaded and dumped real fast"
Pros: there's better out there
Cons: trying to upgrade all the time

Version: Open Contacts 5.3.1.605
Pros: The selling point is flexibility that you can store whatever contact info you want. If you use Windows phone dialer, Skype, and Email program, this program is really a good choice. I actually use the portable version of this program.
Cons: The help file needs to be more friendly.

Version: Open Contacts 5.3.1.605
"lots of crashes in the new version 5.3.1.605"
Pros: Good program, wish to see it more solid and user friendly
Cons: 1. New version crashes all time, donā??t use it.
2. You need to uninstall previous version before installing new version.
3. Database where you put your names and address is hidden and you need to search for it otherwise you will get empty names and addresses.
4. Save option is hidden and not easy to find, I wish the program would ask you if you wish to save changes or not after adding new entry (like MS word), this way you know to save changes or not, otherwise you lose the change you made.
5. Help of the program is very poor and it should be clear with snap shote.
6. Import and export data is very difficult either there is no way to import or export, or it is difficult to figure it out. It should be a list of the programs from which you want to import or export and lead you to it.

Version: Open Contacts 5.3.1.605
"Alliance with other excellent programs"
Pros: At first I wanted a PIM program better than MS Outlook, and this one is only an address book, amazingly Open Contacts has good interfaces with Mozilla Sunbird and Thunderbird, and even Outlook which I have to use at work. The extended birthday reminder program is excellent, now I use it to generate birthday alarm in Google Calendar which sends me SMS alerts.
Cons: none

Version: Open Contacts 5.3.1.605
Pros: * Outlook handles 1000 records slowly and Open Contacts processes things super fast. 10 times faster when searching and looking up contacts.
* Convenient interactions with other calendar programs, dialer, Skype, Email programs etc.
* Synchronization with smart phones.
Cons: * The UI is a bit confusing at the first place. 5-minute learning curve may be a must.
* My wife hates this program as she could not see the advantages of dynamic fields, and there's no shinning icon in menu and buttons.
