by: rrtopaz

Pros: it's free because of what little you get...
Cons: you have to upgrade and PAY for additional protection if you do online banking, anti-phishing filter, e-mail protection, web protection, spoofing shield, online support, etc.etc.etc....go to their comparison page at their website!

Excellent Free program

Pros: It really monitors everything that goes on.
Cons: However, I'm finding the constant pop ups annoying. But, it's good to know that the program is really on the ball.

Online Armor
Very-Good Firewall
by: nighttracker
on 07-May-2008 09:14:46 PM
Pros: There are many (free) firewalls out there. Some, are not worth thier weight in Gold. This is a pretty decent firewall for free.It beats alot of the others by a long-shot in;that it is representative of one of the best firewalls that you will ever find,The "Full Version" of Online Armor. There is no free version firewall anywhere that is going to give you the true security that you deserve or might expect but, this one does come close...If you want a full fledged secure PC,download the Trial version of Online Armor from the web-site ie. DaDaDa.onlinearmor.com Now and then,You will see and taste what a "Great Firewall" is all about. Its actually amazing to see just what has gone into this product inorder to provide a firewall that, I would put up against all comers.Very well built and I personally plan to $purchase$.atleast...Check-It-Out!

Locked Out My System
by: Sinquisition
on 25-Apr-2008 04:34:24 AM
Cons: I found after restarting the system (WinXP MCE) after installation, it effectively revoked all permissions to executable files on my computer upon login, including the essentials like Task Manager, the command prompt, and Regedit. Any startup item before OA loaded successfully (i.e. Explorer). It caused me force shut down my computer when the system hung after trying Ctrl+Alt+Del. It may very well not be OAs fault alone, so I levered the score at average.

Online Armor
Good Firewall.
by: Copman
on 28-Apr-2008 08:39:12 AM
Pros: I have just installed this version because the previous version had a bug. This version is very good and has resolved the bug at start up.
I originally installed OnLine Armor because I was having problems with Comodo v 3.0 update, which was giving me a BSOD screen when ejecting CD drive - Sonic DLA.
Since installing Online Armor I do not get the BSOD.
You do not get the same facilities in the free version of Online Armor as you get with Comodo and I will be trying Comodo again in a few months time to see whether the problem regarding the CD drive has been solved.
Both these Firewalls get top marks for leak testing something which some of the paid versions do not get.
If you also suffer with problems with Comodo at the present time then I can recommend that you try this firewall. It is free.
Cons: The free version does not have all facilities of the Comodo firewall.
