Publisher's description of Star Wars Episode I: Racer

From LucasArts Entertainment: Star Wars Episode I: Racer is the new racing game taken from the hit movie The Phantom Menace. You take the controls as Jedi-to-be Anakin Skywalker, or any one of over 20 Podracers, and feel the full-force blast of two massive jet engines at simulated speeds of up to 600 miles per hour. Players will race in eight beautifully rendered worlds, negotiating flaming methane lakes, Tusken Raider assaults, antigravity tunnels, and much more (see screen shots). Win the race and win money that you may use to enhance your Podracer's capabilities. Try to complete the tracks in this deadly sport in which anyone will do anything to cross the finish line. In this demo, you will be able to play one of six possible characters. Each has a unique Podracer that handles differently. All of the game options are turned on for you to view so you get a real taste of the game mechanics. The racetracks are limited to the first track on Tatooine. The controls are simple. Use the arrow keys to pitch your Podracer up or down and move left to right. The 'W' key increases the throttle and the 'S' key decreases it. The spacebar is for sliding. Ctrl changes the camera view. And Shift turns on the turbo thrusters after you charge up your engine. To get the turbo thrust to work, increase your speed while pitching the front of your Podracer down. You will see a meter on the bottom-right corner powering up. Hit Shift when the turbo light is activated and hang on!
