Easily download binary news feeds with this tool, but experienced users may find advanced features missing. Newsreactor's multiwindow interface presents a lot of information, but takes very little time to learn. A wizard automatically finds the news server for most users. Operation directions are simple enough and need only a few steps.

Newsreactor autoidentifies and decodes UU, Base64, and yEnc files. It uses regular expressions to simplify searching. Capping maximum download speed is accomplished with just a mouse click or two. This program is fast once you identify binaries to download. Similar programs get you to that point much quicker, though. Most programs in this genre offer single-click options to download all image, MP3, or video files in a newsgroup. With this application you must manually scan and grab files. One function will download all posts, but includes files other than the image or sound files you desire.

Its speed, low memory need, and simple operation are perfect for the novice user or those with few news feeds. Others will want more flexibility than this application offers.
