NetDog block porn Web sites effectively and easily. NetDog uses special technology to embed itself into Windows operation system, so you won't find any Netdog process running on your computer. But NetDog will block all porn Web sites automatically. It can work with all kinds of Web browsers like Internet Explorer, Firefox. After installing Netdog, you just visit any other porn sites to test. If you are not able to visit them, that shows your Netdog is working now. Also, NetDog Support user-defined URL block (black & great URL lists), support wildcards and keywords in URL. If you want to change filtering settings, you can always use NetDogadmin to do it. Password protected with NetDogAdmin. NetDog Internet Porn Filter, Protect your computer from porn Web sites, block all porn Web sites now. Version 3.9.2 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

While NetDog does block some harmful sites, its patchy implementation leaves a lot to be desired.
Basically, the app is a "smart" blacklist that comes with many sites and keywords preblocked and allows you to add or remove others as you see fit. There's also a white list of "always allowed" sites. Interestingly, it will allow some sites that talk about the human body in scientific terms, unless you block them explicitly. Unfortunately, the "smart" blacklist didn't block about one-quarter of the sites we tested that we thought should be blocked, making the usefulness of the feature dubious at best. The "full" blocker functioned much better, allowing nothing of a questionable nature to show up.
The interface is a one-panel job, with all the options front-and-center and password-protected. Since the app is so simple, it would benefit from a less-compact menu, but what's there does the job decently enough. If all you need is a Web site blocker, this free application is it, but you can certainly find these limited features and a lot more in other parental-control utilities.

Version: NetDog Internet Porn Filter 3.9.2
"Wish the program worked!!! But it doesn't."
Pros: Small, compact, but not really functional.
Cons: Immediately after install, my AVG Pro antivirus software reported a problem with Outlook email scanner.
Also, tested product - it blocked all web sites!! Double/triple checked settings - they were correct. The program simply doesn't work.

Pros: What makes NetDog unique and desirable is that it offers the option to shutdown all internet access except to those sits specified in a whitelist that you customize. No other product offers this option. It is the easiest to install and has the smallest footprint. While it comes with a predefined list of pornography sites the list can be edited or turned off. It does work. Those others who posted negative reviews should be more specific in their condemnation of this product as I found no fault with it at all running it on Window XP professional SP 2. I just purchased 70 licenses for use at retail locations. If they would polish up the interface I would give it 5 stars because it works as advertised.
Cons: The interface could be cleaned up a bit and the english grammar in the messages should be proofread to polish up the program.

Cons: Do not download! It was effective at filtering porn because it rendered my pc useless. After I was able to removed this crap I had to reactivate windows. As soon as I read "embed itself into Windows" I really should have known better.

Pros: Very fast filtering and light-weight, I've used many software like this kind, But I must say netdog is the most effectively porn filter software, compared with many other filtering software, I rate Netdog with 5 stars.
