NWSend allows sending and receiving messages among Novell NetWare users that have Client32 installed. The program sends messages using the same protocol as the standard NetWare utility, so everybody can receive messages without any additional software. NWSend gives you a flexible and useful way to select recipients of your messages: You can filter users via Novell Directory Services (NDS) properties and obtain the list of users extremely quickly.

Although it uses the same protocol as Client32, NWSend makes exchanging messages much more comfortable for NetWare users. The maximum message size increases to 64KB from the standard 250 characters, and the number of lines per message is unlimited. The handy interface gives you a flexible way to select recipients of your messages: By filtering users via Novell Directory Services (NDS) properties, you get the list of users quickly. To further optimize work flow, NWSend lets you store 10 frequently used messages as templates you can send with one click. The program tracks message history, both sent and received. System administrators in particular will appreciate the way NWSend's command-line interface saves them work.

  Version: NWSend 4.6

  "Great product, impossible to use unless you're an admin."

  Pros: ? Able to scan all of NDS, locate who's on and who's not.

  ? Has a Frequent Contacts list (showing if they're online or not)

  ? Makes Novell chat manageable ~ The entire conversation is well displayed (practically IM)

  Cons: ? Must put the license file at SYS:\public\NWSend. How many of you are administrators? How many of you can get the time from your administrators? How many of you have SEEN your administrators? This one fact alone limits the program to the trial usage for most of us.
