Eset NOD32's latest version is sleek and recommended. The company currently provides a 30-day, full-featured trial, with no third-party toolbars added on nor other strings attached.

Installation is clean and straightforward. So is the interface, which has improved greatly from its humble beginnings as separate scanners that once littered the desktop. Combined into one interface, NOD32 can be toggled between standard features and more advanced features. Although our scans were a little on the slow side, system-resource use was low, and the results good. NOD32 has consistently scored near the top of several independent antivirus testing organization ratings for finding the most malware.

Should you decide to uninstall, there is an uninstall option. However, upon reboot, we found residual system files and Registry settings that have to be deleted by hand.

  Pros: NOD32 Antivirus is the best you can get. No other software has received so many Virus Bulletins awards as NOD32 Antivirus.

  Light on recourses and now with a nice interface.

  The best security you can get!

  Cons: Bad for the competitors!

  overtook kaspersky

  Pros: i removed kaspersky's and i still have 4 months left on the subscription. nod32 runs like an antivirus should. nothing needs to take total control of your computer like the major scam programs pushed off on here as legit. use the trial for nod32 or esets smart security. you'll never switch back. unless you liked your computer running at half speed.

  Cons: not a con, but it runs so quietly in the back ground i have to check to see if it's running.

  Pros: Fast scan. Deletes all viruses,trojans and spyware. Blocks access to unwanted proxy/sites. Right-click integrated scan feature.

  Cons: not able to delete files

  Not what i expected

  Pros: ESET NOD32, has been consistently achieving awards, and it has 0 or less false positives.... can detect many viruses

  Cons: it cannot detect some viruses, recently, my usb was infected with viruses, almost all files were destroyed, NOD32, is fully updated, and it did not even detect the virii, i tried uploading the files to virustotal, and other sites where you can upload a file to check if its a virus, and i found out that almost all scanning engines found out that its a virus, except a few and NOD32, well, every good antivirus has a flaw, but i will not get this one, too expensive for me, i'd stick to avast! , it never lets me down, free but strong protection.

  Pros: I did have NOD installed in the past but i had some problems with the local server affecting the updates. But i can't blame NOD for that. In the meantime i had AVG free version installed which is the best freebie out there, but there is something missing with the freebies. So NOD IS BACK and i am a happy chappy! Within half an hour it had picked up Win32/ adware so goes to prove it does its job.The great thing about Nod is the fact it does everything for you and just gives you a little pop up note telling you what has been detected etc.

  Great improvements have made made in this newer version and its so light on your cpu which is a great bonus.

  Cons: I can only get a yearly license at a time . How about offering a license for 2 years? (maybe thats just the case for Asia)
