MyDiskServer is a small Java application that makes sharing files over the Internet fast, simple and secure. Any Internet browser can be used to access shared files, including mobile phones. Supports multiple user accounts and SSL encryption for secure data transfers. Can automatically generate zip archives (for multi-file download), image thumbnails (for image previewing) and playlists (for streaming audio).

Also supports uploading files of any size. Combines a Web server, remote IP address management and Web start technologies to create the easiest way to access your files from anywhere in the world. Version 2.11 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

"Excellent idea and software!!"

Pros: With Hard drive prices plummeting daily, and Tera bytes of potential software, videos, pictures needing to be mobile, this is the perfect answer. No need to lug around USB drives anymore
