Searching through scads of travel Web sites to grab the best deal on a hotel can be time consuming and frustrating. My Travel Assistant helps make the process much easier. Its only flaw may be that it only focuses on hotels.

My Travel Assistant searches out hotels in the country and city you select, in the price range of your choosing. It's easy to set up a free account and the application proved friendly and easy to use. It has two primary interfaces: the first is a large, nicely designed window in which you set up your account and select your destination. The second is a vertical window that lists the results of your hotel search. Clicking the hotel name opens a window with a photo, rate, and lengthy description of the site, including its location and amenities. As the application continues its search, an alert pops up from the task bar that includes a photo and the hotel name.

My Travel Assistant performed well, responding quickly in all our tests. Its feature set is rather limited, focusing only on hotels, and we'd like to see it expand into other travel features. Still, this is a nice concept that's well executed. Travelers who dread finding accommodations will appreciate this free tool.

  A great tool to find last minute deals

  Pros: Personally this tool helped me to find my trip to london, I just selected the city and the period weekend. By the way, you've three types of periods; night(s), weekend and week.

  After selecting just a few options the hotels were popping up at my desktop in just a minute. In the mean while i just continued with my work and the offers just came in and in :)

  Cons: It's perfect to find deals for the big cities, but maybe there are not that many deasl for the smaller cities? I can't tell cause I never tried it. Overall, good tool :)
