From John George: Mp3 Tag Tools is an intutive ID3v1.1 and ID3v2.x MP3 tag-editing utility. The application has several features, such as mass tagging, the ability to write tags from filenames and rename files from tags using custom formats, the ability to clean filenames and correct their case, get tag information using directory formats, and create directories and organize MP3s from tag info. It also features lyrics and picture tagging, the ability to accurately read all MPEG information, and append bit rate and mode to filenames. Can you hear the cheering? It's the fans screaming over a great piece of freeware. MP3 Tag Tools is a simple but powerful program that efficiently and accurately edits MP3 file tags. Simply load a single or batch MP3 file, and the program will produce the file's complete information set that you can then edit. You have the option of changing either title, artist or album name, as well as track number, genre, or even lyrics and attached picture files. What's more, the program is capable of copying ID3v.1.1 tags to ID3v.1.2 version, or simply synchronizing them. You also can add any additional tag information, including MPEG version, file path, length, or any headers. Did we mention it's free? Overall, this is a great open-source program that's a reliable and effective tool for MP3 tag editing.
