In the arcade mode, you can compete in progressively difficult, fast-paced races in order to earn better bikes. In the simulation mode you can earn hard cash to buy new bikes or upgrade. You can even compete against a friend; win and you take home your mate's bike, lose and you're walking home. All in all you get over 20 different types of racing set on 8 unique tracks.
