Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool

Scans one time.

by: Zane77 on 05-Dec-2007 12:34:15 PM

Pros: This tool scans your computer one time only. It scans for malicious software mostly worms. If your computer is infected this tool will remove the malicious software. This tool comes from Microsoft and it is usually updated once a month, and is downloaded and installed as a windows update.

Cons: This tool disappears after it has scanned your computer.

Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool

Easy to scan and works.

by: onthelake on 17-Dec-2007 03:46:36 PM

Pros: Do not have to download it onto computer, saves space and probably speed.

Cons: I needed to research whether my computer and/or os are 32 bit or 64 bit. Seems microsoft could offer a scan for this. When on the Microsoft download page site, be aware of the "download time", you need to choose mode of data feed.

Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool

Works the way it should.

by: rgmarksjr on 27-Jun-2007 05:58:09 PM

Pros: Works good but and that is but, shouldn't this be an Auto Update.

Cons: Getting anything from microsoft feels like a tooth was pulled. What ever is done for the programs that are bought from them should be standard without a fuss or looking all over to fix it.
