Publisher's description of Office XP Tool: Simplified Chinese Language Pack

From Microsoft:

The Simplified Chinese Language Pack is designed to work with the Office XP Tool: Global IME (Simplified Chinese) download, and is required only if you are not running Microsoft Windows 2000 and you are not running a simplified Chinese language version of the operating system. You do not need to download the Simplified Chinese Language Pack if any one of the following is true: you are running Windows 2000; you are running a simplified Chinese language version of the operating system; or you are not installing the Global IME (Simplified Chinese) tool.

The Simplified Chinese Language Pack installs simplified Chinese language support files for the operating system.
