Publisher's description of POP Peeper 3.2
From Mortal Universe:POP Peeper is an e-mail notifier that supports POP3, IMAP with Idle (AOL, AIM, Netscape, etc), SMTP, Hotmail, MSN, LiveMail, Yahoo, Mail.com, MyWay, Excite, Lycos.com, RediffMail, Juno, and NetZero. Other features include portability, password protection, an address book, viewing in HTML (or rich/plain text for security), open/send attachments, separate polling intervals for each account. Many options are available to indicate new mail has arrived such as sound alerts (configurable for each account), flashing scroll lock, skinnable pop-up notifier, and a customized screensaver.
An SSL plug-in is available for download which allows you to retrieve e-mail from POP3 and IMAP servers that accept secure connections such as Gmail. With IMAP's Idle command, you will be notified of new e-mail as soon as it arrives in your inbox. Version 3.2 fixes lockups and Vista-related issues.

- "Get a quick peep at your POP"
This e-mail client application notifies you when e-mail comes in to any POP, MSN, Hotmail, or Yahoo account you specify. Despite being freeware, POP Peeper is a full-featured program with numerous settings and configurations. It lets you assign different WAV files as notification sounds for each of your various e-mail accounts. The program also sends visual notification.
You can open either POP Peeper or your e-mail client to check your new mail. Extensive help is available within the program and at the publisher's Web site. Modem users will appreciate the program's ability to go online, check e-mail, and log off at a specified interval. Folks with multiple e-mail accounts and not a lot of cash are most likely to benefit from POP Peeper.

Version: POP Peeper 3.2
Pros: I like the idea of this software and it did download ok.
Cons: Didn't work at all on my Vista computer, the software kept freezing up. The xp computer was ok, but a novice a setting up email accounts might find this software a little difficult to setup.
-
Version: POP Peeper 3.2
Pros: I like the fact that controls all my email accounts while it hides in the task bar.
Thank you Mortal Universe.
Cons: I would be happier if the Peeper left the mails as unread in their respective inboxes.

Version: POP Peeper 3.2
Pros: Everything about this is wonderful, I like the fact that I don't have to sign into separate email accounts EVER again.

Version: POP Peeper 3.2
"The best multi-account multi-server email notifier!"
Pros: - Small
- Portable
- Light on resources
- Supports POP3/IMAP/Webmail
- Supports HTML mail and allows you to reply to mails too
- Nice notification options
With POP Peeper, I've never felt the need to use a full fledged email client. All my mail is sorted out automatically at my server end, so I need an app that can notify and allow me to quickly read/reply/delete new mails. POP Peeper supports HTML mail too, unlike other programs of this type.
Best of all, it works seamlessly with Yahoo, Hotmail and other web-based services.
Cons: - No option to make it the default mail client
- Needs filters/folders
- Needs spam filters

Version: POP Peeper 3.2
"Does everything I need for my multiple accounts"
Pros: It is simple to use. It does everything that one would want. It can be used as a preview/deleter or mail reader. It is fully configurable to run how one prefers. Both my wife and I have replaced Mailtalker with POPpeeper.
Cons: Can't think of anything that needs fixing.
