• Great way to search through a large media collection

  Pros

  I tried this program to find a better way to manage my music collection which is quite large. I found this to be useful for that reason.

  Cons

  The lack of auto update when I am adding to my collection is frustrating but not the end of the world.

  Summary

  If you have a collection of media that you want more searchable options in a stand alone product this is great for that. Easy to understand instructions and the set up scan is fast, allowing you access to your list in a timely manor

  very simple interface, doesnt retartedly connect to the internet everytime you load it, you can easily search through your files by just typing in some keywords, broyour not obligated to play the songs with the built in player like stupid iTunes, u just click on the file and it opens it up with ur default player, it also searches through subfolders which is a big plus that eTunes (similar program) couldnt do

  Cons

  the tag editor is somewhat complex to use, its not beginner friendly, but this program is mainly to browse through your music collection. another small con is that if you have a main music folder with 60,000 songs and you added 50 more songs to that folder MediaCruiser wont update the folder automatically, you either have to add those 50 files seperately or reimport your music folder again so that youll have the updated 60050 songs to browse through. dont let that bother you though, that process isnt long at all, but im not sure how time consuming it gets to load so many files since im just starting to rebuild my music collection again
