Publisher's description of Map and Guide Base (Europe Edition)

Map and Guide Base is a brand-new type of route planner. It combines the advantages of an online route planner with those of a desktop route planner. Every registered user can download and install these functions on a local computer. The basic version can be used for free. Premium functions such as alternative routing, vehicle manager, address manager and toll calculation (from 02/2007) can be tested for two weeks free-of-charge.

Version 1.3 includes enhancements and bug fixes.

"Great tool if you are planning to visit Europe"

Pros: Much better than using Michelin's on-line tool. The program offers three alternate routes with sufficient detail to make a decision.

Cons: Lacks sufficient explanation of how trip costs are calculated. This would be nice given the current dollar / euro situation
