  Downloaded the free trial, it started moving all 9 years of my business emails off my email server and I am looking at over 500 emails being imported. As I was just looking at the headers all of a sudden ALL the emails disappeared. Went back to my service provider and low and behold they are all gone. No place to be found. Thanks so much for that!

  Problematic installations - freezes computer and requires manual shutdown. Will not permit uninstallation.

  The spam e-mails I have been receiving these past few weeks have caused me less trouble and heartache than trying to try out this software.

  Too confusing; I have use Mailwasher Free 6.5.4 for years with no problem. I deleted 7.3 immediately.

  Some people might find that 7.3 works for them. I'm not one of them.

  I am sure it must do what it claims. I don't know.

  I had to uninstall it. I use GMAIL (web email) and I could not figure out what to do - to use it. I'm a fairly good geek, and I have written programs for the FREEWARE world in the past that were well received. But after I installed it, I was absolutely lost for what to do next or how to do the next thing to use it.

  Summary

  You should try it for yourself. I was probably the one in a thousand with no clue. You will be smarter for sure.

  Easy to use. Clean user interface. No false positives. Learns and improves as it goes Can be set up to automatically remove spam in the background without having to look at it ever.

  I am amazed how bad the average rating of this superior product is. Looking closer it turns out to be customer service issues. Get real, the program is free, what do you expect. It is top notch. Clean, easy to use and it does a brilliant job. I have used Mailwasher for 10 years and I bought it back then, and yes mabe I was given a lifetime license, but who cares? This is ages ago, times change, a good product can not survive on good ratings alone, every business needs money to survive. Keep bashing good things just because your pride gets in the way, and we end up with more and more half baked low quality products in this world. This company does the right thing now. They give us good quality fully functional ad free program for free. Plus they offer a a paid version with more features, so that they can keep making good stuff.

  The program works ok but the company stinks.

  The program is good enough but don't even think about paying for a lifetime upgrade. I did and then 2 years later they withdrew it saying I had to pay for the next upgrade. Completly dishonest

  I've been a Mailwasher user for years. Advertising something as "Free" (even though I paid for a never to expire license - which did) and then making me sign-up for something I don't want isn't free.

  Easy setup and allows me to check my email before it gets to my pc without any fuss. Good time saver.

  Comes with download.com's advertising based installer like all other software on download.com, but you can opt out of installing the advertised software during installation

• My Go-To Spam-buster for Outlook Express since 2003!

  I've been using this program since 2003 when I needed to do some serious spam-busting before I downloaded my email via Outlook Express. Since I first used the program, I've used it with every new computer I've owned. Gives you the ability to screen, bounce, delete and bouce -and-delete. I find the complaints puzzling... I guess if you just use webmail, you simply do not need this.

  Cons

  None. If you use webmail, you don't need this. If you download your email to your PC, this is a great program to screen and/or bouce your emails before downloading.

  Summary

  If you use Windows Live Mail (or formerly Outlook Express), this program is a godsend and you'll use it all the time. If you use webmail, then you don't need this, just be quiet and use your webmail instead of putting a good program down just because you personally don't need it. Save negative comments for crappy programs, thanks.
