In MahJong Suite 2008, you play mah-jongg-type solitaire games with classical mah-jongg tile sets and millions of possible combinations. You also can play matching-type games with funny tile sets. Create an unlimited number of players so you can challenge your friends to beat one another's high-score, games-won, and score statistics. The built-in layout editor lets you change the layout of any game or create your own. You can customize the tile type, background, animation, sound, pointers, levels of undo or redo, and the toolbar. You also can select from various predefined tile sets and dozens of backgrounds.

Version 2008 has a new toolbar with larger buttons. Now you can add a picture for a player: boy, girl, man, woman... The Open a game dialog box has been redesigned and can be now resized by the user. Version 5.0 includes 5 new layouts: Candy, Coffee Cup, Honeycomb, Magician's Hat, Turtle and 2 new tile set: Amazing Places and Cats.

  Pros: Not only is this suite enormous in it's size and depth but if you start using the options within the subscribed version to create your own sets then your limit to your enjoyment is endless. But that isn't why I've given it five stars, though I do feel this is one of the best MahJong suites available, I've given that because I bought this package a long time ago - 2003 - and when the loss of the laptop that was on caused me to download it again I was pleasantly surprised to find that by quoting my original email address and some minor details I was sent my original activation code and the one to up date it to the present version. That level of customer service for something costing barely GB£10 deserves five stars.

  By the way . . . take a look at their SolSuite too . . . it's even bigger!!!
