MagicDisc Virtual CD/DVD-ROM is a utility designed for creating and managing virtual CD drives and CD/DVD discs. MagicDisc Virtual CD/DVD-ROM emulates audio, data, and game CDs and DVDs with ISO image, CD and DVD images. MagicDisc Virtual CD/DVD-ROM offers 200x speed and noiseless CD/DVD access without a physical drive. It supports creating up to 15 virtual drivers. You can run games, software, see movies (VCD, SVCD, DVD), and hear music directly from your hard disk without inserting and swapping CDs and DVDs. MagicDisc allows you to use almost all CD/DVD image without burning them onto CD or DVD in order to easily access your favorite games, music, or software programs. It works like a real CD/DVD-ROM: You can run programs, play games, or listen to music from your virtual CD-ROM. It can compress ISO CUE MDS NRG CCD image; can encrypt ISO CUE MDS NRG CCD image; can make ISO image from CD/DVD; It can mount UDF only CD/DVD image and multi-session MDS/MDF and CCD/IMG image.

Version 2.7.101 can make DVD image of DVD DL disc.

"great program"

Pros: i have been using this on xp and vista and can say that this is a really good bit of software.
it is easy to use
it has a kind interfece
covers nearly all image formats iso being the most common and others.

as i say i have used this software for years and have not had a problem

"Good program, I'm pretty happy with it."

Pros: Easy to use, takes no effort, can have multiple virtual drives open at once. Can also create ISO and other disk images, very easy to use, found no compatibility problems.

Cons: For some reason I always have two MagicDisk icons in the status area of my taskbar, but it works fine otherwise so I have stopped worrying about it.

Summary: Great product, never had any trouble with it.

"Stay away!"

Pros: It's free.

Cons: No uninstall, it seems to have created registry problems on Vista, it only writes bin files, it does not burn bin to DVD.

Summary: What a waste, and it was a pain to uninstall. I'm not able to clean out the registry, so I guess I'll have to live with it until I do a clean install.

Pros: Works very well, never has caused me any trouble. I have used it during 2 years.
It's free!!!

Cons: I haven't had any trouble.

Summary: If you want to work directly with ISO files without having to burn them to a CD/DVD, this is your application.
