Publisher's description of LineStats

From DoWhatever Software: LineStats counts lines in source code files or ASCII text files, counting blank lines, comments and effective code lines. The tool counts lines in all files in the user-selected folder and in all of its subfolders. In addition to counting lines LineStats also shows how many blank lines and commented lines each file contains. Using graphical user interface it is easy to configure the tool to look for new file extensions. The tool also allows a user to configure new comment styles and edit the existing ones. LineStats can save results in a formatted text file, in a comma delimited CSV file or in an XML file.

  does exactly what you'd expect, fast & clean

  Pros: nicely designed UI, gives actual count of source, comment & blank lines as well as percents. searches sub-directories. saves report. fully functional trial. nice job.

  Cons: not free, it's a shareware costing $20
