Publisher's description of Poisoned
From The Poisoned Project:Poisoned is a file-sharing client that supports networks including FastTrack (Kazaa, iMesh, Grokster), Gnutella (LimeWire, BearShare, Shareaza), OpenNap (Napster), and OpenFT (a new and upcoming network). It supports all protocol features of these networks and quickly yields search results as well as transfer rates. Poisoned uses few system resources and contains up-to-date plug-ins and additional features, which include FastTrack preferences (port, port forwarding, a ban list), Gnutella meta data support, an availability column, and sorting sliders.

The Mac has always been a second-class citizen when it comes to the world of P2P--but no longer. The release of Poisoned, with support for the FastTrack, Gnutella, GIFTD, and OpenFT networks, finally gives Mac users a first-class ticket to the most-popular file-sharing services on the planet.
We liked the clean interface and easily identifiable buttons differentiating the download, upload, and search modes, as well as the status of the services you're connected to. A text-entry field for searches, a pull-down menu for narrowing results, and a drawer showing currently active inquiries round out the layout. Since you're connecting the same networks as P2P gorillas Kazaa, Grokster, and iMesh, search results are massive, and this is good. Actually getting files is where Poisoned could use some work--most of the results never came to fruition, and this is bad.
However, we applaud the built-in integration with the iTunes Music Store so you can opt for a reliable, legal download. With Poisoned's user-friendly design, first-time users should have no problem getting into the fray, although more experienced P2P geeks ultimately may become frustrated by slow downloads and inconsistent results.

Cons: for simple interface: xtorrent, for middle of the road interface, limewire, for ultimate interface, vuze. don't see a need for anything else unless it works better.
