An impressive compression tool, LS Archiver rapidly secures and stores documents. Its modern-style interface quickly compresses and decompresses files, but we like the convenient access through Windows Explorer context menu as well. This program can pack and unpack a host of archive formats aside from the default ZIP file format, including CAB, LHA, TAR, and JAR archives. Adjusting the compression level for each type of format is a simple process, as was encrypting the archived files. You can assign a password and choose from four levels of encryption to secure files. We're pleased this application can convert from one archive format to another and even creates self-extracting archives. With 15 days to try it out, the ultraflexible LS Archiver has a lot to offer folks looking to secure or send files and regain some disk space.

"As easy to use as Winzip with more features."

Pros: I am no geek, but this program is easy for me to use. I e-mail documents and pictures and I needed a compression software that was affordable and functional. I feel it is a bargain.

Cons: The site [share-it]where I purchased the program was having technical problems with Linos. It took 10 days after I purchased the software to get the unlock code.
