Publisher's description of Knight Online 1.453
From K2 Network:Welcome to the world of Knight Online, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) that utilizes a party system where you help your fellow players to advance. A prominent and exciting feature of Knight Online is the involving, persistent, large-scale war between players. Upon registering and creating your character, you must choose between two nations: El Morad, the nation of the human race, and Karus, the nation of the Orc tribes. The successful player will seek to join forces with others of his or her nation in order to obtain victory. By enduring battles, that character may also become a hero in the Knight Online World. He may also receive a title and reward from the King, become the lord of his own castle, and even rule over a city. Version 1.453 may include unspecified updates, enhancements or bug fixes.
Note: This is a very large (456MB) file and may take several hours to download via dial-up modem.

- "Free, huge, with no help"
In the ever-expanding and competitive realm of MMORPGs, Knights Online has a sturdy reputation for offering the most for free. A heavily-populated game, with nearly 300,000 people online when we played, Knights provides a familiar fight-and-quest medieval milieu that encourages interaction with other players but doesn't demand it.
For a free download, the graphics are top-rate. As you acquire weapons and armor, your character's physical appearance changes to reflect both the new implement of death being swung and the new pants you're wearing. The POV changes are fairly smooth and occasionally disorienting for it. There also is a paid upgrade version that opens up a community that allows you to sell items at a higher rate and more power.
The user subscription has another benefit: consistent access. The game is so popular that free players are blocked during peak hours. There are the usual drawbacks of cheaters and complaints about customer support, but the biggest problem we encountered was the installation. On top of the massive install file, we were required to add 13 patches with absolutely no documentation; it was only from the Web site's player forums that we learned about them.
All that being said, it's a fun game that can magically obliterate your free time--and leave you happier for it.

Version: Knight Online 1.453
"Fun but don't take it seriously"
Pros: It really has good graphics and game play for being totally free. Tons of weapons, upgrades, can belong to clans etc. It also has great quests, magical effects, good use of camera angles, lots of land to play on and tons of monsters.
Cons: Where to start... cheating, hacks, large group of non english speakers asking for healing or buffing when you are a warrior and don't have those abilities. Tons of people asking for swift if you are a rogue, some creatures are nearly impossible to kill, wars are almost no fun when you are below level 50 because the higher level users kill you before you have a chance. Items that are being sold are rediculous prices like a +1 shard for 70 million coins etc. The whole game is designed to take your money. To be competitive you have to purchase items from them, higher level upgrades from them, memberships from them etc and if you don't, you are already at a disadvantage to those who pay. I have played the game for about a year and just got tired of it because of so many bugs, dupe wipes that take out your legit items, NO SUPPORT from K2 and rampant cheating.

"Excellent game but full of macers"
Pros: I just switch from MyKO to USKO. To my surprise, USKO is much much better in terms of story, graphics, quests, interface, etc. In short, it is really a great improvement from MyKO. Thumbs up to that.
Cons: I also faint when I saw the number of players using macro. Even in moradon, there are SOOOO many archer macers that I can barely kill a worm! It seems that everyone own autolooting or macro. Why can't the GMs do anything about this? Can't they patch things the security flaws? If not, I'm sure this game will be ruin one day. A pity though, it is really a great free MMORPG

Version: Knight Online 1.453
Pros: there aren't any...but the game does censor out your profanity when you snap and pm a kill stealing player.
Cons: the cheating is so rampant that leveling your character is impossible.everyone chats in turkish.the subscription price for the gold premium is higher than EVERQUEST.the game is slow to download and slow to install(at least 5 hours with a DSL connection).enforcement of game rules is non-existant.customer support is also non-existant.most players pay no attention to the rules.
