Protect your kids from the internet and protect your computer for your kids at the same time. So simple parents can use it right out of the box. Kid Browser was built by parents to protect children. It comes pre-loaded with kid-safe Web sites and pre-set word filters. You only need to make sure you approve and review the default web sites and words. Enjoy the easy to use Manage menu on the top of the application to review the allowed Web sites and restricted words. If Kid Browser detects any browsing outside of the allowed sites it automatically redirects your child to a safe site. It will do the same if Kid Browser detects any disallowed words.

Despite its limited trial period, this application presents kids with a friendly surfing environment. Kid Browser is, in essence, its own browser equipped only with friendly and educational Web pages. You can prevent any Web site from loading by defining keywords on the Manage Word Filter menu. Any attempts to access sites containing banned words results in a tiny pop-up window indicating its blocked status. This application's layout is very similar to other Internet browsers so kids will easily recognize how to navigate their way in it. Kid Browser is also password-protected, preventing any changes to your current settings and restrictions. Although you'll only get a 15-day trial, we think parents will be pleased at Kid Browser's efficacy.

Version: Kid Browser 1.1

"Great for my daughter"

Pros: I got this for my preschooler, who likes to play games on the web. I'm not too worried about her browsing to pages I don't want her to see (yet), but wanted to get something before I do have to worry. A bonus I've found with this browser is that it won't allow the child to return to the desktop, open other applications, or accidentally shut the computer down (while in "safe browsing" mode).
