Keybreeze is a small, command-line toolbar that's only visible when you are using it. You can activate it by pressing a hotkey on your keyboard. Then you can type keywords to open files, folders, and websites. Keybreeze comes with over a hundred preset keywords, and you can easily make your own. You can also type commands to search the Internet, look up a word in a dictionary, check the weather, activate the screensaver, create a note, or shut down your computer. Keybreeze commands can be configured to perform more advanced options, such as automating your repetitive computer tasks, inserting custom text into a document, or changing the display settings of a window.

Version 3 includes a new macro creator for automation, enhanced auto-complete, new skins, plug-in support, and minor bug fixes.

Someday Star Trek's voice-activated computer will be a reality. For now, software such as PCCom makes operating a computer almost as easy. The software allows a user to launch applications, open Web pages or documents, or trigger a complex series of tasks by typing a single keyword. The software runs in the background, and is activated by pushing a previously set hot key. The program comes with a large list of preset commands created automatically by scanning a user's computer, but new tasks can also be created by letting the software record and replay a frequently performed operation. An autocomplete feature spares users the trouble of typing the full keyword every time. The program's interface is simple and self-explanatory, and a no-nonsense tutorial guides new users though the process of using it. On the whole, we recommend this program to all command-line buffs, but even people used to mouse clicking will likely find this a valuable shortcut.

"It's a great program, but....."

Pros: I really thing that this is a great program with novel ideas. It works beautifully after you spend some time learning all of the ins and outs. Makes for speedy opening of programs, and too many other features to list.

Cons: But, for me (I don't know if this happens to anyone else), when I am logging in to a web site (any web site) Keybreeze pops up and my keystrokes wind up in that box instead of the log in boxes. It's maddening and I usually have to turn it off after a while.

"It's good, and compatible with similar programs"

Pros: When I downloaded this, I thought I'd have to get rid of my other program that stores shortcuts, but because this program has you press ';' before typing anything, that hasn't been an issue. So, I can still have my F1-F11 for my most frequently used programs and this one for everything else.

Cons: Nothing, really.

"It is 2 star better than before, making it 6 stars."

Pros: The think is with this program, that you don?t have to try to find your shortcuts or programs or web pages from your system . Just type word and ;) word opens. This one key hotkey is superior to other programs, and to be honest all the other aspects are superior too.

Cons: The default hotkey ; is a bit funny for right hander, as your left hand is other side of the keyboard than ; and right hand is using mouse. Not sure though if this is because of non English keyboard. Don?t worry though it is easy to change ? 10 sec procedure. You get your original symbol by pressing enter after hotkey press. I?m using <, not best but very good place, left hand is almost always there.
