RightClick is a program that enables you to enhance your standard Windows right-click desktop menu. You can add all kinds of new functionality to it (program short cuts, system commands, plugins, etc.) as well as change its look and feel by adding "skins" to it.

Though you'll find new options when you right-click your desktop, you won't find a help file or another guide to getting started with RightClick. The program resides in the system tray, but users should bypass the Edit Desktop menu until they try the new desktop right-click menu and see what the program has added. This will give you a better understanding of the cluttered window offered to add and remove menu elements. You'll find two panes, one for Available Elements and one for Active Elements, and the new menu options are already displayed in the latter portion. You can add access to the taskbar, system tray, and any folder, and even add a clock to show the time. The program automatically adds access to the Program folder and a Run option to open programs and folders. A skin editor comes bundled with the program, but during testing it crashed each time it was launched and wouldn't open. Novices may be frustrated by the lack of guidance, but more advanced users might appreciate what this program offers.

  "Unnessary for Me.?"

  Pros: When I downloaded this, I really thought it would be great, but really I haven't found that it is really a nessessity for my computer and the way I use it. I am not saying that it's a bad program, but I just don't have a use for it.

  Cons: Uses up space I need for other more important stuff.

  "pointless"

  Pros: you can change what appears when right-clicking on the desktop

  Cons: completely pointless, what appears when i right click my mouse is fine by me. Not many things to add, takes up valuble space on the comp.

  "been waiting for someone to script that one out"

  Pros: i just like that they took the time to bring something in to windows that i liked about doing linux, i just havn't been able to tell windows to do it myself

  Cons: i do think it should be easier for the typical end user to manipulate however
